The Center’s newest curriculum, Addressing Hate in High School Sports, is designed to help superintendents, school administrators, coaches and other leadership staff and students address and prevent the burgeoning proliferation of hate and bias in school sports. In keeping with our facilitated pedagogy of other flagship curriculum in which we create a pathway to both bystander empowerment and a community of positive practice, Addressing Hate in High School Sports affords participants both the sanctity of environ and the skill sets requisite to identify, disrupt, and confront incidents of discrimination, interpersonal violence, and toxic speech.
These trainings are designed to be highly interactive and include personal and group reflection, facilitated discussion, and customized activities that provide the safe space to challenge thinking and inspire collaborative thought-leadership. Additionally, attendees will use practice scenarios and case studies to enhance skills and build the basic knowledge and tool kits requisite to develop sustainable action plans.
